STAR-INDEX-000 StarIntel Fourth Generation

Purpose

This is the project index1 for the StarIntel2 fourth-generation research and design graph. It connects the original idea backlog to the design and research nodes that have already been extracted from it.

Canonical Idea Backlog

The idea backlog remains the canonical inventory3 of possible research topics. Focused design and research files refine individual topics without replacing or deleting the original text.

Current Runtime Designs

Current Runtime Research

Language and Execution Research

The Star-Lang research defines a bounded Common Lisp domain-specific language for durable analysis runs, explicit actor effects, Prolog capability routing, checkpoint replay, and declared condition and restart handling. A separate numbered design must freeze interfaces before implementation begins.

Research Infrastructure

The approved automatic-research design adds bounded competing candidates, append-only run state, independent evaluation, and a single promotion gate. It does not change the one-design implementation slot.

Research Loop

The research loop4 follows the order recorded in the canonical idea backlog unless a dependency requires a different order.

REVIEW Loop 001: Other OSINT Project Features

This loop compares mature intelligence and open-source intelligence platforms, extracts reusable product patterns, maps those patterns onto the current StarIntel architecture, and proposes the next focused design.

TODO Loop 002: Collection Actors

The next queued area is the collection-actor inventory under section 2 of the canonical idea backlog. It must not begin until Loop 001 is reviewed or explicitly superseded.

Publishing and Navigation

Every new fourth-generation node must link back to this index and to the precise source section or prior design that caused it to be created.

Footnotes and Glossary

Footnotes:

1

Project index: A maintained navigation file that lists the authoritative notes, active work, dependencies, and research order for one project area.

2

StarIntel: The local-first intelligence platform being designed in this repository to collect, normalize, connect, search, analyze, and export structured documents through actor-based components.

3

Canonical inventory: The primary list that remains authoritative for what ideas exist, even when individual ideas are copied into more focused research or design files.

4

Research loop: One bounded cycle that selects a single topic, performs deep research, records findings and sources, provides an implementation-oriented example, and identifies the next design decision.
